Hey all

After af recent swap of my original headunit to a Pioneer AVH-X2400BT, my fm reception is very poor.
I've used a Hyundai to standard antenna converter wire similar to this one HYUNDAI 08 ANTENNA ADAPT. DIN | Vehicle Specific Car Database

My suspicion is that the antenna is active and the original headunit supplied the antenna with power, and the new headunit doesnt ?

Best regards

Yes, the i30 antennas have a booster that you need to power from the new head unit. Most current model units have antenna out power, so you need to match that with the original loom. You should have a wiring diagram on the original unit (stuck on) and there should be one coming with the new one too.
