Google is teaming up with car manufacturers including Audi, Honda and Hyundai to integrate its Android operating system into their dashboards.

It would allow the apps and music on Android smartphones and tablets to work better with onboard car systems.

  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if

No, like Apple, they collect information without users knowledge, or authority. The nsa will be a virtual passenger in your car.

If they want to get info about you they will get it one way or  the other. Like with a lot of things only the guilty need to be concerned and I doubt you are one of those! :winker:

It's the principle of the matter, more than anything else. If the NSA want to track my movements, they can't have too much to do, IMO. The way of today's world is to offer a supposed feature or advantage, while covert background activites are taking place.

I still get email offers of trips to Darwin on the Ghan, just after we returned from our trip last year. It's obvious some profiling of my activities has been performed quite automatically. Google was the search engine on my comp whilst arranging bookings etc. :fum:

Phill, it's to late lad.  This is the World we live in, ya can't turn the clock back.  The only way you can stay away from all this it to unplug your computer, throw your mobile away (better still smash it to smithereens) and go and live beyond the stump.

Alternately you can just accept the World and go with the flow  :snigger: :snigger: :snigger: :snigger:

There used to be a time when individuals could sell their privacy to marketing companies in a paid-to-surf scheme. Now they don't need to pay anyone and can track everyone.
