I heard about this on the radio the other day and thought it was a great idea.
New books are given to homeless people (not expected to be returned).
The founder said that there are many organisations that cater for the physical - clothes, occasional shelter, food, etc, but no one was catering for their minds.
It has been immensely popular and is starting up all over the place now.
Great initiative.

Thanks for that Doggie.  I've shared this on FB.  It would be good for local government in cities and towns to take this on across Australia.  It's the librarian in me coming out ....

Another thing for me to get involved with in retirement (once I've mastered Windoze 9).  The countdown is on.
