I believe MHC Ltd have purchased it...    Now to figure out a way of making contact, bearing in mind that I may be perceived as part of the mob that sent it under (which is not true, I am an independent manager and having nothing to do with the day to day running, or treatment of the client group.

See, this is a bummer of being self employed, bring back the NHS and jobs fer life

Asa,

Went past the hospital today while out on my bike.

Place was deserted, no lights on etc.

Car park area looked a mess, the grounds tatty and grass uncut.

Have heard anything?

My understanding that MHC Ltd have bought it and it's sister hospital in Blackpool where I am working day after tomorrow...

So, when they actually move their managers in at Blackpool we may know more, just a case of wait and see.

However Lester, thanks for the intel, knowledge is power so they say  :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

That's all about to change Lester, my understanding now is that contracts have been signed and deals done, so I expect things to get moving anytime soon.

Thanks for the INTEL tho, knowledge is power    :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

We have a wi-fi only table and 3g Wi-fi dongle which we use regularly when not at home.
Is the table part of your internet cafe furniture? I hope it's collapsible and lightweight for use elsewhere. :snigger:

the hospital in question was not your A&E or medical facilities more a specialist hospital for certain type of illness.

Asa,

Just remembered to update you......

Been that busy with beer fest and a few otherthings.

Went past hossie 2 weeks ago and there were a few contractor vans in the car park.

Grass looked neat but all windows shut.

Wonder if things are starting to happen......

So, I took my iPad to a local supermarket (the one which does NOT have free wifi) and this is the results with the gadget :-

That's hilarious. Most of the country can't get fixed broadband with speeds like that.

Your joking Keith. I just dropped back to regular broadband from super fast because it's expensive (to me) and I really don't need super fast anyhow cos I don't do anything which requires superfast (stream live porn, download porn movies, watch live TV on the computer) so I almost get that same speed on regular speed broadband.
16mg on average.   Which if I watch catch up TV seems to work just fine.

Asa,
Update

Went past yesterday whilst on bike ride.

Looked empty, 2 cars in car park, the grass and gardens neat and tidy.

Looked as if the building and rear entrance doors, cycling along the track which runs past the rear, had been given a spruce up and windows open and the mess around the rear fenced in area cleared.

Ahhh but being in Heswall, posh part of wirral,  the robbers are polite and would actually knock on the front door rather than damage windows and doors.

Hi Lester....   I was at one of our Blackpool hospitals a few days ago and at an opportune moment I asked one of the guys I am comfortable with what the skinny is down at Heswall.

He said that it now mooted that it should be used as an adolescent unit <sigh>

I have no detention powers in that field, ergo I doubt I will meet up with you down there again which  is a pity, it was always a nice drive out.

Anyhow, thanks for all the intel   :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

Cheers for the update.

Would assume any change in use will have to get planning approval.

I'll keep my feelers out and let you know what finally happens to the place.

I may be visiting manchester later in the year so if i have spare time i'll let you know.

Shanghai with a population of 24 million people and is serviced by a good underground train system.........too a point........it shuts down at 2308 and starts again at 0530. We were on the last train and there was still at least 10000 + people walking around.....I wonder how they get home?
