Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. 2 buttons I hardly ever use are the bank of switches to the right of the steering wheel housing the traction control and Eco button which I have noticed are broken.

Even though they sit in their position the back plastic clips appear to have broken off and you can simply lift the 2 buttons off completely. 

I just dropped into the local HY dealer who reckons he needs to get approval as a warranty job first, as he said it may be handling error??  I gave him a strange look and questioned whether switches aren't meant to be handled??

Anyway, would love to hear of any similar pattern, if any, that could help if it gets knocked back and any tips if I do. 

Can't say I'm too impressed with the quality with 2 buttons I've probably only pressed 1 or 2 times in 18 months.

Strange that they are both broken with such little use. Could they be knocked inadvertently

Good luck with extracting 2 new switches out of Hyundai! 

Have you had any work performed in that general area at all, possibly during a service?

My car has only ever had one service (June 2013), no warranty issues whatsoever, so I was so surprised to see this.  I think I've pressed the Eco button once or twice when I first bought the car to realise what a waste of time that was and as for the other button... never touched it.  I was my own car, so no one has ever fiddled with the interior in any way which is why I'm at a loss.

If the clips on the back are broken,I would strongly suspect someone has tried to take the switches out for some reason,as normal use of the switches should not break the fixing tabs on the back of the switches,very odd

Both clips were broken on the back and I have some of the little fragments.  If "someone" has tried to remove them as you say, I'm at a loss as to who.  I'm the only one that drives the car. I wash my own car, and the last time anyone was near my car was at last service. Very strange??
