 A message in a bottle believed to be the world’s oldest has been returned to the sender’s 62-year-old granddaughter 101 years after it was thrown into the sea.

The beer bottle containing a postcard dated 1913 was discovered in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Kiel, Germany, by fisherman Konrad Fischer in March this year.
