there are a couple of question i have
can i just splice  the original wires to the new usb connector assembly
or is the a space plug where i can connect the new usb usb connector assembly

If you really want to do this, keep the original USB loom intact and connect it to a cheap and cheerful USB hub. Then stow the USB hub behind the console and run one new USB cable back to the original spot and one or more new ones to any desired position. No splicing, totally reversible and for a couple of $. :victory:

Last week I purchased a real Sandisk mini SD 64 GB for $19.50. Surely, you don't need any more usb outlets, and if so, Gonz's suggestion is a much easier and cheaper solution.
