Sadly It is not only Coles,it is also Woolworths and all those who support these stores by shopping there,being guilty of supporting them myself,you haven't got much choice these days.

Shows their power when you have companies like Coke worried about them. They are a duopoly who give the impression of competing, but when you look through their catalogue, you will see items that were in available on special one week in Woolies in Coles the next for EXACTLY the same price. In reality they are working together to drive out IGA (this is why they want to trade 24/7 as it removes the smaller family stores competitive advantage to trade when they want.

The sooner they regulate to break them up the better I think....

I get most of my greens from the Farmers market, my meat from a butcher and my milk which is from Maleny Dairy who started selling their own milk in responce to the screwing they were receiving from the big milk companies.

I shop Aldi where most of what I buy bought is local. I pay less and support Australian producers. Win.

Hate to burst evryone's bubble,but if you think your supporting Australian,by supporting Aldi and IGA,sorry to inform you though the IGA stores maybe owned by Australian families all the products supplied to them come from Metcash,a South African muliti national,which also sources most of their products as cheaply as possible,from where ever possible, same with Aldi's,we have contracts to deliver supplies to all the major chains,you'd be surprised where half their supplies come from,an it aint Australia and the ones they do source here are sourced as cheaply as possible
