I'm happy with the fuel economy of my i30 so far.

On 31st May I put 42.93 litres of standard diesel in, costing £57.91, which brimmed the tank. One month later I still have 3 bars (or a quarter of a tank) remaining. 

The trip computer in the car shows an average of 49 mpg, which is pretty good considering the traffic that I've been stuck in, and a couple of 60 mile round-trips, mainly motorway driving, at 70mph.

One thing I didn't do was make a note of the mileage  , despite doing so religously for two years as a company car driver! I've just subscribed to Fuelly Fuelly - Track and Compare your MPG, so that will change when I fill her up again today!

Just filled up tonight as down to about a gallon remaining, and according to Fuelly, an average of 50.7 mpg for the month. Quite pleased with that, as most of it is still shortish commutes to and from work.

That's 5.57 l/100 which is excellent for tank 2. It will only get better, still.
