I'm happy with the fuel economy of my i30 so far.
On 31st May I put 42.93 litres of standard diesel in, costing £57.91, which brimmed the tank. One month later I still have 3 bars (or a quarter of a tank) remaining.

The trip computer in the car shows an average of 49 mpg, which is pretty good considering the traffic that I've been stuck in, and a couple of 60 mile round-trips, mainly motorway driving, at 70mph.
One thing I didn't do was make a note of the mileage

, despite doing so religously for two years as a company car driver! I've just subscribed to Fuelly
