Well finally vinyl wrapped my roof used 3m designer wrap which isn't the cheapest but definitely one of the best you can get. It was a dream to put on hardest part was actually removing the antenna base. Next mission is to get rid of those ugly red tail lights!

Cool. Gives it a nice Euro convertible look.
I'm considering some black vinyl to change the look of the nose once my body kit is fully done. :victory:

Looking good.  :goodjob2:
Will you consider to add two strips on the bonnet with the same black vinyl ?

That looks pretty nice. Don't go much for wrapping single panels but that's good.

Could have upgraded to a GD Premium for the same effect :D

I have some nice cross hatched pattern black to do the two plastic strips on the roofline, it would make yours look even better IMO.

I think it was this one

Completely out of curiosity, how does one wrap something like that. I still can't understand the wrapping something curved with a flat piece of vinyl. How do you avoid all the wrinkles?

Found it very hard "contact" wrapping my school books, so I'm interested in how you avoid the same issues on a car.

Great point. I assume it deforms enough to suit the shape. :victory:

Nah no plans for any other parts at this stage if I had a full time job and the money I'd consider getting a professional full car wrap

I still can't contact books... the 3m car wrap is very different to contact paper, it can stretch and has these air release channels if you have any bubbles you literally just tap or press then and they will dissappear its very cool :)

I'm guessing you spray a bit of soapy water on before you apply it too?

Nah this stuff needs to go on dry. First you wash, then clay bar, then wax and grease (prep-sol), then use there 3m isotonic cleaner (which is basically an alcohol cleaner).

Here is there website for anyone that is interested :link: 3M Designer Wraps

We need an "over my head" smiley for occasions when Gonz gets too technical.
