That officer seriously needs an attitude adjustment   it's their wedding day riding in a special vehicle so of course they would want to live the moment, here's hoping the judge just dismisses the case.

Those officers are morons, probably miserable individuals stuck in the dead end jobs with low pay and no sense of anything.
Generation of spoon fed losers probably not even born when that car was famous I'm sure they've got their thumbs sore from checking their Facebook and Twiter feeds, so up their back side with self importance that is just pathetic. PC cretins must be proud!

Cheers

I suppose it would be too much to ask for the officers name to be Rosco or Constable Coltrane :)

I've known for a long time that musical air horns were illegal.  Saying that, a warning would have been appropriate in this situation.  Remember, it wasn't the newly weds that were fined, it was the car owner (who should have known better).

Would you same the same about the policeman if the driver had of sped past over the speed limit?  He broke the law (near a police officer), deserves at least a warning.

I've known about the air horn illegality thing forever, too.
But honestly, I've always thought it was one of the most stupid laws in existence. Surely the use of one doesn't rate along with speeding.

Agreed, Trev.  What I was trying to highlight is that police should stop illegal activity when and if they see it, not be the judge about what is a stupid law or not.

Yeah. I know they have to uphold the law. :goodjob:
But, they DO have the option to apply common sense and use a warning.

I think we are singing from the same sheet music.  A warning would have been appropriate in this case.

If he hadn't sounded the horn twice or at all wouldn't have been picked up,musical air horns have been illegal as long as I can remember,in fact tooting your Car electrical horn(didn't want anyone cracking funnies,If I just wrote tooting your horn)unnecessarily is also against the law,but yes in this case should have been a warning

Unnecessary Use of a Horn.
Only ever wrote out one infringement for it in 31 years.
But it was warranted.

Yes not a common infringement to happen or should I say to be enforced

No, a pond dweller who saw me parked working radar so decided to drive past and sound the horn, then drive past and sound the horn, then drive past and sound the horn.

Gee, don't overdo it.  You'll burst a blood vessel.

I'll be fine, it was just a sarcasm stretching a bit.  Based on your response I suspected you have something to do with the force which you've confirmed in the later post.

I don't know how you guys keep up with the all the laws of questionable value, do you just cherry pick your favorite ones and than when you see a bottom feeder as you've put it breaking them, book them.  I find it hard to believe that normal person can keep a track of all these idiotic (some) laws and regulations which do nothing for traffic/public safety except being a stick to bash unsuspecting people with.

There is no fun anymore, the rat race has succeeded in making us all miserable and antagonistic  against anyone when enclosed in the bubble (car).

Cheers

No, just do the job as we see (saw in my case) fit.
But if someone is going to go out of their way to bring themselves to police attention, then I guess they have to cop the consequences of their actions, wouldn't you agree?
Pond dweller was the term I used, by the way.
That's a pretty sad view on life you seem to have, but you're free to have it.  :)
