Is "drive like a dream" the same as "drive like you're asleep"?

If so, that's my call

I've gone for pro rally driver, cos I have stripes and a body kit and have dreamt of being Hannu Mikkola, Roger Clark, Ari Vatanen, Colin Mcrae all my life, but never made it, apart from on the PlayStation

When I was younger I used to drive like a rally driver but not so often these days..

Sometimes I get paranoid about the cops and drive like a granny now..

I opted for drive like a blind person.. because I can be a little vague and distracted at times (that's what the wife reckons anyway) :-[

If drive "like a Granny" = "try to achieve low fuel consumption" , then that's me.

Ditto from me.  I have to admit it, having a lean, mean i30 that can achieve excellent fuel economy, if driven conservatively, can achieve 4.7lph or better has really got to me.

My kids (teenage girls) say that if they want to get somewhere fast, they talk mum into driving.

Drive like a rally pro because I have actually done some rally courses @ oran park and apparently can qualify for a rally license or something like that.

Currently driving like a granny while I get used to a front-wheel drive car (going from a Commodore -> i30 is a difference!) and I also promised my husband that I wouldn't 'fang it' while it was under 1,000kms.

I picked Granny but it really depends on the day & my mood - mostly granny, sometime leadfoot, and get the right mountain....I can go sideways all day :)

Why isn't there an all of the above?

I don't think there is a single style that I conform to, everyday and situation is different.

Daniel

Compared to the rest of Australia, Tasmania (where I live) is considered cold... but fortunately not cold enough to have to buy two sets of wheels and tyres ...

Would be an expensive and inconvenient (storage and changing of wheels) if you had several vehicles..

Only good point as I see it is you can change the look of your vehicle regularly with two completely different sets of wheels...

I find theat I drive like I ride - late turn in, late apex, power out.  Limit wheelspin as much as possible exiting corners (slows you down too much).....

I've always driven more like a 'granny', but since I got my CRDi I'm learning to like putting my foot down a little more...

Yeah, have to admit I seem to change my driving style every time I get into the car.  Seem to be mostly granny though.  I think I enjoy the smooth ride of my beautiful Viv, so I just cruise most of the time.  I do however love the feeling of power when you plant the foot to overtake someone.  Hmmmmm, perhaps not so granny after all...... :D
