just signed on the dotted line today for the following model:

GDe I30 TOURER 1.6D ELITE AUTO

tried every single dealer in sydney to source something that wasnt white or silver and boy was i given the run-around... didnt realise just how rare the tourer was!
finally found someone who claimed to have a red one in stock so after some hard negotiating, i have been promised delivery by the end of week (5 days) so here's hoping they come through.

and having not even test driven one, here's to blind faith in all the reviews that i've read lol.
will update once i've scored

Even the wife's 1.6 Petrol Active Tourer is a very nice drive (She does around 8K per year so couldn't justify a diesel)

after having a bit of a browse around, i'm a little curious as to what the "e" is in GDe ? doesnt seem that anyone has this in their model description?

The "e" is a part of my models listing as well, I'm not sure what the e stands for as the motor badging is still GDi

Maybe it means European since the Tourer and the 3Dr are both Czech made

Interesting, my US spec Elantra GT is made in Korea. Maybe my geography is off, but isn't Australia closer to Korea than the EU?

Maybe a RHD thing?

Yours is a hatch isn't it. The wagons are built in Czech rep.

Special models come from special places we have Korean built Hyundai's here as well but it's only the Tourer and 3dr that are euro built at this point in time.
