Hi to everybody,
As you remember I intalled recently a low beam HID kit to my car and I didn't adjust the level of the headlights because it seems to be ok. But in general when somebody  substitutionally wants to adjust the level by him self without going to garage and use the headlight adjuster how it can be possible?

if you don't have the motorised adjuster, see this thread. It shows where the screw-wheel is located :)

Thanks my friend again for your quick reply,
I know where are located the two (2) holes(separate for low and high beam) to put the screwdriver but I want to know with witch standards adjustments you use (for example the car how far it has to be from the wall etc.)

Hi K i park car on leavel ground and toward a flat wall, have car back a distance of about 8 meters turn lights on and with masking tape mark out wear beam is both sides.
then i adjust lights so they are higher or lower than the masking tape, after driving if it's not what i want i go back repeat till i get it right.

Lakes' suggestion is about as good as you are going to get without a proper headlamp aligning machine. We actually found a wall better for headlight adjustment than the aligner. We just marked up a wall in the workshop and put a line on the floor to park on and that became our aligner.  :D

Special tools my rosy red...

that's for you to choose, i try to find happy medium between low and high. like i set low then when no traffic test high beem, just have it so you do not blind oncoming traffic, or anoy cars you are following.
if it is too low now, adjust so it just goes up a small amount both sides. just checked my spelling last post , i need to read and correct b4 posting
cheers

Do you have a headlight level rotary wheel by you right knee?

If so use that.

No,
I mean from the body of the headlights and NOT from the rotary switcher in the bottom left dashboard position...
this switcher is ONLY to level DOWN the headlights when you change the balance of the car by have rear passangers+ luggage so you blind the opposite drivers...
But when you want to ADJUST the headlights in their body the are some holes which end to 1 plastic spocket.
Last night I insert there insight the screwdriver and nothing happens....
Can someone with more knowledge to explain why?.......

I must ask the question -- As the car is not that old why do the headlights need adjusting?

Has the car had a knock which has put them out of alignment?
