I haven't seen the electric seats on the i30 but my electric seats I had in the Clubsport were similar to that, they don't need any cover on the front as you wouldn't normally see it unless your head is down on the floor :)

I attached your image to make it easier for others to see

At looking at the complexity of the mechanism,I can see why there is not a cover on it,but you think they could have used something like the rubber concertina covers on the air ride seat in the trucks

I think bumpkin has electric seats in his Kia - would be interesting to know whether his cee'd has a cover.

Looks like it should have a cover! Must look at mine in the Calais when I get home.

You would think susceptible to damage being exposed like that!

Seat does look very high.

I have never noticed that on either the Cee'd or the i40 which also had the electric seat, even when vacuuming the carpets, perhaps age is reducing the observational powers!

Will check later and get back to you

Looks a lot tidier in the Kia, not a good photo but the parts look to be more under the seat and behind a bar, really hard to get down and see!

I think Geneosity might also have the seat height raised and moved right back which would make it more visible but when sitting in the car normally you should not see it, if it were closed off there could possibly be heat issues as well :undecided:

I agree Craig, but it does look like the Kia has an extra bar at the front of the seat which kind of creates a natural "barrier" between the assembly and the rest of the car, I don't see that on the i30 pic.

Does your 12 year old SEAT Cordoba have height and tilt adjustable electric seats?

Yeah, that is up to its highest and furthest back.. usually people who require a seat that far back don't have it that high lol
Edit; tried to quote someone and failed. Haha
