I knew it, warranty has run out and I've got a fault already.

The silver is flaking off the D on the HYUNDAI badge on the rear.

I can make up my mind if i'm going to paint it or replace it. I guess it just sticks on, presumably easily removed with fishing line?

No. That kind of serious fault will make the car undriveable within a few days.

You MUST get a new car asap....

I have thought of using this excuse with SWMBO, but think I need a bigger fault for that really.

I thought there were 2 pins holding the rear badge on (but I could be wrong, I was once)  :D

I've swapped cars for lesser reasons.. :whistler:

I just checked, they are sticky, supplied with 3M tape already attached.

Part number is 86335-H1020 (for the FD) if anyone else gets this terrible, terrible failure.

New genuine part winging its way from Korea for £8 (15AUD)

The new badge came a few days ago, genuine part, hologram on the bag. Used the whole new badge as it came with an applicator to put it on the cat straight with all the spacing taken care of. just a few minutes job, mostly taken up heating up and removing the old glue.

Only problem is now the "i30" badge doesn't gleam in quite the same way, so i'm going to need one of those too.

I might bring a class action against Hyundai  :D

Ahum, testing it on a cat is no reason to take Hyundai to court. You should have just asked for the correct applicator.

BTW, how's the cat doing ?
