I'm not sure if they have these on the SLX Model, but they are not on the SX.
People find it hard to find the door handles from the inside at nights and many times I've had to put the overhead light on to help them find the door handles so they can exit.
It would be a good thing if some small blue light was emitted from them as with the electric window buttons.

Oh and while you're at it Mr Hyundai, could we have an ignition key hole light as well or maybe a small flash light from the key holder itself would be welcome.

Just small things to make the enjoyment of owning an i30 a greater delight...

So shambles does that mean you still have to poke around in the dark if your door is closed because you've just got out of the driving cold rain into your car and you don't want to open the door to find the ignition?  :'(

No mate. It stays illuminated until I turn the key.

Surprised it's not standard as it's a useful feature...

Possibly some more lights in the back of the car. People trying to get out at night from the back doors always complain, because all the lights are concentrated at the front. Even if it were a light near the roof handle thingy!!

you can stick a small piece of glow-in-the-dark stick at the dark door handles, or ignition area.

save electricity, minimal fuss.

i spoke to an old chap. he reckons we should do without power windows. that saves weight, and if broken, you can fix it yourself, without causing a bomb! having said that, there's 3yrs warranty for electro in the car.

the control knobs are fairly intuitive, once you know where the volume, etc... i can adjust eyes close without the steering wheel controls... they are really nice to have. maybe in my next car...

One thing I don't quite understand with the electric windows is that there's an auto down option for the driver's window - but there's no auto up! Even my mother's 15 year old mazda has this feature. XD

Sorry to disappoint hayseed - some models have auto-up and auto-down on all 4 windows :P

Boooooo! The AU models don't seem to have this - not sure if the SR does or doesn't.

In some ways I'd prefer to have an auto up rather than an auto down.

Nope the SR has auto down on driver's side but no auto up (in AU that is) which seems pointless to me.
