Excellent vid.

Wouldn't want my gear changes decided by some alien satellite though

You couldn't rely on satellite speed maps, I find here even with the latest map updates that many are still incorrect with what is actually displayed on the road signs.

That Wraith like all other Rolls is pig ugly :fum:

At some point , all the robots we are useing will become, smarter than there maker. At that point in time I hope I'm not here.
But read that it could be in ten years the way we are going. What do you think?

It's already too late, John.

Our engines are already controlled by computers. If the memory chips fail, there's no starting the engine at all. Worse still, a failed electronic component can look as good as new when inspected. I say bring back carbies, condensers and points. At least I could fix those.

Now you are bringing back one particular memory of when I was a bit younger - say 10 or 11.

A friend of mine down the street used to have an old Honda CT-70 Dax that we used to fool around on in the neighbourhood. But it was really old school and had 6V electrics, no electric start, and points that would need cleaning every so often. In fact, we used to check them out every time we washed the bikes, which would be once a week

It had a 4 speed semi-auto and I learnt how to ride a bike on it without falling over too often. Good times :)

It was the same colour as the ones linked below

My old man stuck me on an RM80 and said go for it, he did restrict the throttle though for the first few days :)

Nothing like the smell of premix in the morning! I learnt to ride on an old KX125 after the CT70, but I couldn't stop with it as I was too short to hold it up - I'd need to look out for a rock or an antheap in the fields behind our house if I wanted to take a breather. But it still didn't stop me until one day I came off hard on a decline and my dad decided to sell it, much to my mother's relief and my utter disgust

They were a good bike the KX's :goodjob2: the next bike the folks got me was a second hand 125 Maico from a friend at the Bunbury Speedway scramble club, it was an older bike but still the ducks nuts back in the day.

I graduated from the 70 to a honda xl350 4stroke single cylinder trail bike, that was fun. Never been a fan of 2 bangers, too smelly, noisy & dirty, but they certainly move.

Hey Phil I like carb's as can tune easy n fast, but with EFI can tune perfect just takes a lot longer.
I don't like points & condenser these days, I've got to love, programable advance curves. No points to stuff up.

What I was refusing to in last post was, robot's, what happens when these robot's become smarter than the people that designed them ?

I think it's satellite assisted cruise control, at least that's what Volvo has been working on with trucks.
Saves the vehicle having to drop a lot of speed before the cruise reacts and brings road speed back.
Sort of what we all do anyway when we see a big hill coming up and realise our little 4-bangers would struggle to maintain the set speed.
