Hi There

I want to do a bit of custom enhancements to my Hyundai e.g. Wide rear wheels, twin exhausts, wide rear fenders etc  . Anyone know where I can this done in Melbourne?

I don't know who can do it but I sure as hell want to see the finished product.

Any tyre and wheel shop can sort wider wheels for you though the front will have to be the same width as the rear by law, there are exceptions for vehicles registered in street car clubs.

With twin exhausts it would be much cheaper to have custom made at local exhaust shop rather than buying prefabricated from one of the Korean aftermarket sellers.

A paint and panel shop would be able to flare your guards, they can be rolled to an extent but extra costs will be incurred with modifying the plastic bumpers to match, I wouldn't recommend bolt on flares " not that I've seen any " as the guards would still require cutting away so they don't chop into the tyres if you're planning on going that wide.

Tks for the reply. It is a dream I have reckon it could look gr8. Maybe even make it a convertible but not sure all the costs though. reckon $10K

Be interesting to see, I think you might be closer to $25 -30K by the time chassis and body are strengthened ( possibly complete sub-frame ) to be able to handle the roof being chopped off.
