  • 2019 PD2 Go Petrol, Manual. 30,000 kms.
I recently bought a 1994 built (licensed as a 1995) Land Rover Discovery 1, 3 door, 300 tdi diesel manual.
I've always liked these early three doors. In fact, I actually prefer the really early models with the original interior.
The colour on this one is called "Caprice" which I quite like.

Considering putting a Leyland 4.4 P76 V8 in it as it really is quite a slug.  :D

Dave@ did you find some spare space in that huge garage of yours and thought it requires another car in there :snigger:

My brother is just about to sell his 4dr V8 version of one of those.

I sold another car and it was a trade.
Quite looking forward to playing with it though.   :)
Personally, I like the two doors and also the early two door classic Range Rovers, but they're starting to get a bit expensive whereas Land Rovers aren't.

Old Rangies are pretty cool. A lot of nice built ones doing the comp circuits.
Never was fond of the discos and defenders though.

Yeah, I guess so.
Given Land Rover's previous forays into Africa when Toyota wasn't even around, then their use in exploring outback Australia, both before and after the Snowy Mountain scheme, then of course, not to forget the Camel Trophy expeditions into untamed areas of South America that used only Land Rovers and Range Rovers, I guess all those people must have pushed them around a lot.

We nearly bought a Disco (2003/4 model) a few years back.  I wish I had of, but glad I didn't.

Perhaps they should've bought a Jeep....

Cheer up, mate....  :snigger:

http://www.google.com.au/search?q=land+rover+reliability&gws_rd=ssl

Now, why did I know you'd come up with a negative link.......?    :undecided:
I won't bother, but I bet if I looked I could find just as many positives as you could find negatives.
