Apologies if this is in the wrong topic (and also if this is a stupid question!)

I bought my car (2011 FD Hyundai i30 Comfort CRDi) six months ago from a Ford dealer and yesterday I took it back there for a service and MOT. Reason for taking it back to them and not the local Hyundai dealer was thah I bought a 'service plan' from the Ford dealer which was cheaper than the Hyundai dealer.

My question is this -

1) how do I check if the service indicator light (if there is one fitted) has been reset

and

2) if it hasn't, how do I reset it?

I've trawled the t'interweb (including this forum) and not found anything.

Love the car - it's an ex-Motability car which only had 8,270 miles on the clock when I bought it!

Some UK GD models have the service indicator light (triggered by time and/or distance) but I wasn't aware of the FD having one.

My fd nor does my gd have one

Indeed, no service indicator.

Please check they used genuine parts (particularly the oil filter) and make sure the oil is in Spec (handbook says the spec like ACEA-B3/C3). You don't want to go messing up the warranty.
