 Police caught a woman drinking a can of premium strength lager while driving on Britain's busiest motorway - but had to let her go after she passed a breathalyser test.

Officers spotted the motorist supping from a can of Stella Artois while driving on the M25 on Saturday evening.

They pulled her Renault Clio over a short while later in Guildford, Surrey, and made her take a breath test, but were forced to let her off with a “strong warning” after she was found to be just four micrograms under the legal limit of 35 micrograms of alcohol for every 100 millilitres of breath.
