My i30 turns 12 months old on 1 September this year and was giving some thought to organising the service.

After having a look around the Hy website I thought it odd that the first service is due 12 months/10,000 miles which ever comes first.

I bought my car with 11,000 miles on it. Having looked in the service book it is not stamped for 10,000. How does this effect any warranty?

Bit pissed off at this and will be phoning the dealer I bought it from first thing tomorrow.

The Service Book says 1 year/10, 000 miles, Vehicle Health Check; Interim Service (optional), Anti Perforation Check 12 months.

Then its 2 years/20,000 miles Health Check, Scheduled Service 2 years/20,000 miles.

It seems that the first 10,000 miles/1year isnt a tequirement.

Is that correct?

That's what I understood, for all models 2014 ->

So I think you're ok with no service stamp at 10k miles.

The only thing you need to get done at 12 month is the anti-perforation check which should be free with the vehicle health check. The service book should be stamped for future reference.

It seems that the first 10,000 miles/1year isnt a tequirement.

With my GD if you do less than 10,000 miles in 12 months then an interim service. 

But if you do 10,001 then no need and can wait until 2 years or 20,000, whichever comes first.

I queried the point about 12500 miles.

Here is the reply
