Hi, mine is an i30 1.6 dti 2010. My drivers door won't open. I have to wind the window down and open from the outside. I have tried various searches on the internet but no one seem to be able to help me in a concise way. If it is the actuator then I can probably buy one and fit it myself, unless it's horrendously impossible.
Any help appreciated.

Ah, thanks for those threads, very informative. It seems that it is not a recall, buy Hyundai are happy to replace the broken wire if you book it in for anything else, like a service. I have a warranty from where I bought it but that's in Preston and I live in Sheffield (quite a journey). I was looking for a quick solution where I could maybe buy just the wire and connect it. I think my next port of call is my main dealer and see what they say. Thanks again for your reply, was really helpful.

Re wire.

I recall this was mentioned in a post on here and if i recall correctly you can not buy just the wire.

If you try the search function you should find it with the posters method of fix.

I'll search as well

I got mine replaced at Manchester Hy, no problems.

They also did the brake light switch and something else, which I have now forgotten.

Complain, kick and scream, this is a fault which although not a recall is listed as replace free of charge if it fails.

Go right to the top and do not take no for an an answer

Good luck
