Hi guys,

Bought a (Real Italian) Leather steering wheel cover and I Stitched it on myself (Took a couple of hours).
This is the end result.

I enjoy the feel and it is better than any steering wheel cover I had before, it feels much more ''premium'' now.
I think it adds a great touch to any vehicle.

You can probably find cheap PU leather from China for like $3, this one cost $30 from UK.

Hi Niko, that looks great! Love the red stitching.

 :whsaid:

Many years ago I made one with real leather from scratch and it looked pretty good. I also stitched a bought one from Ebay on to my previous base model Camry Hybrid. It was priced somewhere between the Chinese and UK one from memory. But yours looks better.  :goodjob:

I am guessing it comes with the thread to do the stitching?

They do, but I used hat elastic when I did mine. I found that worked better and was easier to use.

yes you can choose from a few colours of thread, but the red
looks really good me thinks! There are heaps of videos
on youtube that shows you how to do it, and it can be quite enjoyable
once you get the hang of it. The only issue I had is do the ending
couldn't get the knot right.

I seem to have a flair for this sort of stuff, which is interesting because my Grandmother on my Dad's side (whom I have never met) was a Gamble from (apparently) a shoe making family in England (which is now long gone as far as I am aware)

Today's worthless trivia...
