Hi
Where thinking of putting a cargo barrier into the wagon just wondering if it's a simple installation or do the pros need to do it? I've seen one's where you still can put the seats down and the barrier simply goes forward to the front seats ( looks simple in the pictures) or just stick without it ?

I can only advise on the factory steel barriers.
My advise is to pay someone to do it. They are a shit fight to install. No mounting pre exists in the body.
They can, with some mount extensions, convert from 2nd row to 1st row fairly easily.

As for is it worth it? Oh hell yeah it is. I built a completely custom barrier from scratch for my Jeep. Its beautiful. No stress about something coming over back seat and hitting one of the kids when packed up, dogs cant crawl over, can use it to mount fire extinguisher and glass hammer for super easy access.
Only Con is i cant carry longer items inside, but thats what the roof racks are for.

If you watch ebay and gumtree you can get the FD wagon barriers cheap.

For example
