Hi, just i quick question... is it normal that every time i turn the interior fan on (cold or hot ) the ac light comes on automatically with out me touching it.. is there a problem ? . Hipposniper

How are you turning the interior fan on?

just turning the nob to start fan (0.1.2.3. Etc),  and if the fan is left on b4 starting, when u turn the key A/C comes on too.. (A/C button is on a differant nob which is the insert to the heat nob)

i haven't got climate control,but if i turn on the fan when its on windscreen vent,  aircon comes on.it only comes on if in screen position,its for fast defrost of screen. :razz:if you make the air blow on your feet or face it wont turn on the aircon when you put the fan on . :cool:try it and let us know what happens in heidy.

Come to think of it '2s', it may be in the screen position, saddly although Heidi is my birthday pressie the wife drives it to work (while i walk) as wifie works farther away and has to leave eairller then me, ( mine you i only have a 1-2 min walk) so i have to wait to try it out...

My AC only comes on in three circumstances.

- I select windscreen defrost
- I select AUTO on the cc
- I press the AC button

If I fancy a nice ambient temperature I hit the AUTO button then immediately cancel the AC. Then I rotate the dial to select the temp I want. When finished I hit the OFF button.

To resume, I rotate the dial a single notch which reactivates the cc but doesn't change the temp setting or turn on the AC.

TBH I like to drive in the cold, so I normally have feet and face on with the temp set at "Lo" and fan on lowest setting. Chilly

Check your owners manual (...section 4/86?) item "defogging logic". Is this solution?

i wish the default for the ac  was OFF  it anoys me coming on automatically
