We've woken up in a snowy morning today. There's no snow where I live, but few kilometers away, there is.. I found few pics on Slovenian - news site that random people took today..

Here's one..

They say that in some areas there's already 20 cms of snow and it's still snowing. They also said there were quite a lot of accidents today, because people were driving with summer tires.. We must change our tires (put winter tires on) on the 15th of November (and have them till 15th of March) Good thing I changed my tires yesterday

Wow, nice, I love the snow, but only ever get to drive on it with summer tyres.

Tell me do you keep two sets of rims, or do you get the tyres re-mounted each time you have to switch over?

Most people have one rims and change winter/summer tires twice a year. On the 15th Nov. they put winter tires on and summer off the rims and other way around on the 15th March. I have summer and winter tires on different rims (and different dimensions - winter 185/65/15 and summer 205/55/16). Costs less to change and it's much quicker

I got a little snow at the end of september, but nothing after that,

Usually it snow here in the end of september or beginning of october, and then rains till december.

But it's been unusually dry lately, not much rain and temps varying from 0 - 12 °C

I also changed my tyres the day before the snow, and of course there were accidents when it snowed, some people never learn.

:lol:Bez10y, i saw snow coming out the sky down in Hobart driving up mount Wellington only a few months back first time I've seen it coming down. but i've been through snow in USA.too cold.
seeing you post about winter & summer tread tyres makes me think back. in the old days i think all the tyre co's were in northern hem as they used to sell summer and winter tread's here too but we don't need them so don't see that now.
