After 3+ years of owning a white i30 gd 1.4 crdi  I have decided to buy 3 aftemarket items.
I wanted to share my experience and I share also the links.

:link: 4x15" wheel trims, Hub Caps, Covers to fit Renault Scenic/Megane ( Quantity 4) | eBay
:link: Android 5.1 Quad Core Car stereo DVD Player Gps Navigation Hyundai I30 2011-14
:link: auto-vox CAM 1 | eBay

I have installed 7" dvd android multimedia system with gps and rearview camera with night vision leds and new hubcaps.

Everything worked like charm. The items are really awesome in a fraction of cost. The hubcaps are made the car more interesing and look like alloy wheels and are much more shiny than the original. The dvd is quad core and the quality is awesome. Gps work like charm and has maps sygic, bluetooth, mic usb support and steering wheel buttons. Finally the camera in licence plate has escellent quality even without light at night!

That's all my friends.
Regards to all.

I like that multimedia system :D

PS, do you really want a Renault logo on your hubcaps?

The GPS looks good! do you remove what u have in your dash? like ?7" screen for factory rear view reversing monitor & replace with that one?

Steve ok to put Reno logo on Hy but a reno owner might not like a Hy logo on there car

The renault logo is removable lol :)
I have a hyundai logo sticker but I decided to keep this place empty as it look better without any sticker!

I have removed the old mp3 player with the blue screen - the classical i30 mp3 so.
The new android dvd was installed as a replacement of this classic hyundai mp3 (I didnt have navi before).
The new android navi was installed and it works fine without any can bus. Also it has steering wheel support
and is programmable can change what any button can do with an app. It plays dvd movies,  it has wifi, playstore, sygic gps, the  usb or i30 on bottom still works and the camera has real good vision even at night. Impressed!  The speed of the unit is good also (not light speed for the android  but has enough memory for multitasking and navi + music play). It has light brightness change  was I turn on the lights of the car and it has screen off button for night.

The wifi of the unit is better than my phone's wifi. Unit  has 1Gb Ram and is quadcore like a quad core chinese tablet so.

I paid 80euro for the installation to a professional  and it took him less than  2 hours to connect all units and cables.

I am happy with the purchase so. Hope it will last in time :)

ps: the sound quality of mp3 files with this unit is much much better than before and by  having  the same speakers in my car as before. Really good quality of sound! Very rich sound when I use the rock equaliser band option.

Certainly the nicest plastic wheel covers I've seen.  :goodjob: Really suit the car.. and the stereo looks awesome too!

For future reference if you right click on your picture in Imgur it gives you the option to get codes. If you copy the code for forums and paste that then the pictures will show in our forum without the need to click on them. I tried to fix it for you but not sure how to do it with someone else's imgur...

Thanks, I have updated the links and are now images. Great info!

Yes the hubcaps of the i30 are now so cool comparing it with the oem
that were very simple. I have noticed that these hubcaps are even better
than alloy wheels and are so cheap! Also can change them anytime with other
if I get used to them or bored them :)

Also my new citroen c3 had hubcaps that are the oem
and are really cool. This was a reason that I search for new hubcaps for the i30 :)

Feel free to tell us more about the little Citroën in members other motors  if you like. Looks like a cute little car. Has it been reliable so far? Is it a diesel or turbo petrol.  Don't see them much in Australia. ...

I send photo  view from the reverse camera  inside my i30. It's the one that I have sent the link in the top of this thread.
($30 price) Quality is awesome and an night it has almost the same range or  view!

The lines are optional and can be switched on of from navi menu.

Also the reverse camera is turning  on even if the navi dvd is off
so it is triggered from reverse speed to turn on immediately (as is the oem cam)

The new head unit looks great, if i had a need for a reversing camera I would be looking into installing one.

Have you tried running Android Auto on it? Do all the existing buttons continue to work, including on the steering wheel?

Yes it's a great unit. It turns on on in 10-15 seconds, it loads android 5.1 and so all software is
in android. It shuts down in 2-3 seconds  doing something like a hibernate turn off.

All the steering wheel button works and in this unit and also are programmable.
the user set which application of the unit to run for each button.

Only one button does not work - the button that dims the lights.
