Hi
We are visiting the Gosford area (NSW) in January.
I was wondering if there are any car hire companies that use the i30.
Also do hire cars come with satnav.
This will be our third visit and each time we have had a Toyota it would be nice to have the same car as I drive at home.
We usually drive up to Surfers and tour around that area.

Hi,& welcome, well i'm in Sydney & it's about half to three quarters of an hours drive south of Gosford & central coast, i had a friend down from north Queensland one month ago he hired from Eurocars and got an i30 sx 2.0 auto hatch back he had  his own sat nav but i think you can ask for them, might be extra, have a nice trip.

I just saw you are from UK , if you are flying to Sydney international Airport, you could hire from the same company my friend did, i think they only hire the 2.0 petrol auto but could check. you could drive to Gosford will take over one hour from the airport but it's easy if you use the M5 toward Sydney CBD then the harboure bridge or harbour tunnel, then get into lane 4 on the north side of harbour, take the pacific hwy exit at Artarmon head toward hornsby till you come to the entry to F3 and just drive on the F3 to the gosford exit.

Thank  you very much for your replies. They are a great help seems I wont have much trouble finding the i30. It does not  matter that they are petrol as long as they are auto. They are great cars and seem to be much more popular in Australia. Dont see many on the road here.
We are being met at the airport so the local option seems best but nice to know the option is there.

I was going to bring my own satnav but the Australian map is approx 126 dollars so I may buy a basic model there and give it our friends when we go home.  As long as it gets us from A to B not worried about extras.  I am about to trawl the internet for bargains.

We shall be staying near Terrigal. Love the area lovely scenery and beaches and everybody very friendly and welcoming.

Once again thank you for input.

Also a really great place to break your wrist. Moral of the story, don't try and skip stones on oyster infested rocks - you also lacerate your palms too!

Hi

I think we went to Port Stephen last time we visited we went on a Dolphin watching trip (did'nt see any). Yes it was lovely.
Investigated the car rental we may hire a car for the whole of our stay. Do you know where the nearest Eurocar office is in the Gosford area. I looked at there branches but did not recognise any of them as being in that area.
