Just been reading a bit more of this.

They've rated the petrol alongsied the diesel and the only place it falls down is in fuel consumption, so it loses 5 points.
Effectively the i30 petrol is #2 (by a long way) over the stated second placed VW and third placed Lancer.

Maybe I can just say Australia's Best Cars is not a commercial enterprise.
