Hi guys,

Got a White 2017 i30 SR that needs window tints.

I was thinking about darkest legal all around (35%) but i've had it on my previous car and it just wasn't dark enough for my likings. So now considering 30% on the front, 20% on the back.

Anyone know where I can go in Melbourne that gives a good price and a good job? Preferably somewhere in the north as I live in Reservoir, work in Tullamarine.

Bugger! I wish I hadn't seen that! I want a WHITE PREMIUM now.. 

Although if I had a white premium I reckon I would wrap the top of the hatch with Gloss Vinyl to take the sunroof through to the spoiler. 

Tint a Car Tint a Car - Car Tinting do the Octane tinting which is the darkest legal shade of tint around, I cant remember what I paid now...$380 I think still cheaper than the $600+ that Hyundai were going to charge to send out to the same place and I also went one shade darker than legal looks nicer

We've had 20% on our cars since 1989.
When we moved to Camden,  our mechanic always checked that the local Police weren't booked in on the same day,   
He stopped worrying after the first 18 months.

Looks really good butters7388! Yeah the photo I put up was 35% all around. I had trouble finding places that would go darker than legal tint. Where did you get it done and how much? Thinking 30% on the front 20% at the back..

I assume it's not an easy job to swap them over. I'd prefer the chrome to my black ones... where are you based? Good idea to wrap the strip between spoiler and roof.

Chrome ones look a little silly on mine because I have the tinted weather shields which Block out a lot of the chrome.

Mine is just the SR. I wasn't prepared to pay the extra for a sunroof and heated seats I wouldn't use. There were other features I missed out on that would have been nice,  but not worth the extra 4k or so to me.

Yeah I did see the chrome window trims advertised, but a straight swap with a member who wants black ones is a win win situation for both of us! Not sure how easy they come off though...

hi guys! decided on going with happytint in sunshine. he did it for me on a Saturday morning. dropped it off at 8.30am and picked up at about 10.30am. John(the owner) accidently quoted me $245 over the phone as he said it was $265 when I got there but he was happy to honour his word. got 30% on the front Windows. 20% on the back and back window. very happy with how it turned out. heres some before after pics.
