Thanks!
I was a little bit uncertain about the colour but after a few weeks I wouldnt want another!
However I think that the front was a little bit to much white. So I purchased som dull(?) black film.

Click for larger pics!

It was really tricky around the fog lights, because of the double arched area. I´m satisfied, it reminds a little of Audi and VW I think.
Total cost: 5€ + 1,5hour.

Hi Alesand...

Thanks for the pix... Firstly it is interesting that you get the same steel wheels and covers as our base model SX over in Australia but get the fog lights which dress up the front quite a bit.

Secondly we only get a nice stumpy little radio aerial (for some reason most of you Europeans seem to get a longer one which some don't like?)

The idea with the black out was pretty clever and looks quite good on white (don't think it would work so good on my moonlight blue) Also got added benefit of protecting from stone chips  ;)

Car looks good...

Cheers

Nice car Alesand,

I like what you have done to the grille, looks a bit Audi or VW ish from the front, not a bad thing.

Interestig too what you said about the Swedish government giving insentives to owners of enviromentaly nicer cars. I wish the Aussie government would follow suit instead of allowing us deisel owners to pay up to 20% more for our fuel.

I bought some used rims. To bad I have to buy other rims when I mount lowering springs n the future. The measure of ET is wrong. They got ET40 and original is 46.

18"

Longing for the summer

a little mind game

I´m actually thinking of putting for example KIA-emblems all over the car.  :P Would be nice if it fooled the man who gives the parking fines... the i30 is still not so common here.

Wow! Really love the color and the ALLOYS  Nice.. Why do you have to buy new rims? You should try them with the springs..maybe it wont be a problem?  8)

Just one question..on these pictures the car looks low.. Original springs or already lowered? Probably original but looks interesting.. 8)

Thanks for the comment!
It is original springs, but it looks really low in the back, I agree. More space in the front.

It is by rear wheels it will be problems. The wheels are almost wider than the body. It could work out if I put 215 tyres instead of 225. What we call german-look, wide rims with narrow tyres.

Unless you lower it 1,5 cm at the back and 3 cm front.. Don't know if they make 1,5 cm springs for i30 but.. I've seen some i30 in Korean pics area and there are a lot of cars, that have back wheels almost sticking out and the car is low.. But..what do I know.. :-[ You'll be sure how it fits when you mount the springs I guess..

Looks great alesand.

The 18" rims on mine actually stick out past the body a bit, the effect is offset slightly by the wider body kit, but the sprayback along the side of the car is noticeable, particularly with the current weather

The sprayback along the back of my car with stock 17" alloys AND mudflaps is also quite notecable. Much more than on my old car. Also the airflow off the rear of the hatch is must be quite turbulant as the back window gets dirty quick. It's possible it's just I'm not so used to so much salt.

Still it's an excuse to wash it more often

a rear spoiler apparently reduces the amount of rubbish spread across the back of an i 30 hatch or cw.

Yes, presumably it keeps the laminar air flow longer, and pushes the turbulence futher backwards away from the window.

The body kit and spoiler indeed reduce the mess on the hatch of the car, what I meant was the wide wheels spray a lot of dirt up up the sides and in particular it collects along the leading edge of the back door (opening side) where the side tick runs up.
