...that inside the fusebox there is a receptacle for the key. Truly.

I asked the dealer to leave the car locked and the key inside and of course with the keyless entry, not possible. So they lock the car and put the key in the receptacle in the fusebox under the bonnet.

Amazeballs.

Question

If bonnet can only be opened from inside, how do you get in to open bonnet?

Also, if they lock the car with bonnet open, doesn't the car not lock and or alarm go off and or not acticated?

disconnect factory bonnet cable release hook up your own release that is hidden but you can get to, then test, then hook up stock factory release, now you have two.

1. how the key can be put in box in engine area when door locked without setting alarm off or

2. if i'm correct the doors will not lock if bonnet is open so how is car locked if key in fuse box.....

Yup. And there's a spot in the fusebox just the right size for the key. Did I mention this already??  :whistler:

I don't think I've ever looked inside my fusebox - does this apply to the FD?

I have decided to skip steps 1-5 and just repeat step 6.

I like having a key. Shows the car who is boss....
