The Hyundai UK website now has the changed specs fro 2010:

http://www.hyundai.co.uk/newCars/i30/

Edition specs are there too, and all the stats for the U2 emissions/peformance/mpg.

Several minor tweeks here and there in the specs, like no front fogs except on the premium/edition models now.

After seeing your post Lorian I downloaded the i30 brochure. But it is dated 04/09 on it so doesn't reflect the changes show on the web site.

People downloading that will get a shock if they think they are going to get certain items which have now changed

Having looked at the website, I see that the 6 speed manual gearbox WITHOUT ISG falls into the £30 tax bracket..... wonder if it's worth challenging with the DVLA

The first step would be to email Hyundai customer services and to ask them from what VIN number the change offically took place.

IIRC there is a lot of emissions information on the new V5. I don't have it to hand at the moment.

I'll ask at the dealers when I pick mine up tomorrow. Yippee!!!!!

Bit of stainless steel and sticky tape for just over sixty notes, if you feel your i30 needs to look like an astra:

A couple of wire clothes hangers and a few pairs of black tights. You'd save a fortune.

Well - contacted the Hyundai customer services re the carbon emissions and received the following reply:

Thank you for your recent enquiry with regards to your Hyundai i30.

I recommend for you to contact your selling dealership, as they are best
placed to advise you on the next course of action. Sorry I cannot provide
you with more information, however I am confident that your dealership can
assist you further.

I do hope this answers your enquiry, and I would like to thank you for
taking the time to contact Hyundai Customer Services, giving me the
opportunity to respond to you.

Yours sincerely

Hyundai: Drive Your Way

I think not! - phoned Bognor Hyundai after receiving a lovely letter from the MD thanking me for buying a new I30..................No stamp and I had to pay £1.30 to receive this missive! (As I have just moved house, and received the note from Royal Mail - not knowing what it was - I paid)

On phoning the dealer I bought the car from, after requesting the £1.30 back - I mentioned the updated website details - they didn't know anything about it!
Hyundai customer services don't know - local dealer doesn't know - Surely there must be somebody at Hyundai with their eye on the ball
