First snow of the winter has arrived!  Not much yet, but some roads 20 miles West of Aberdeen are only passable by 4WD.

-2C up here, the roads are like a bottle, ESP light flashing in gears 1,2 and 3, how the hell can you go slower than 5-10mph

Touched the brake approaching a junction the ABS kicked in and we just sailed straight on, VERY lucky that nothing was coming, bumpkin goes off to change undercrackers

LaLaLa were not listening

Didn't fall off, but some person who had fogotten to scrape their windcreen tried to squish me. I politely reminded her she should defrost her car before moving off. I did this mostly by using a special hand signal, and politely shouting profanities.

That was a great photo Bumpkin and I echo Dazzler's post ...... I'll try not to moan about the warm or even hot weather here now ....... We would just curl up and die there waiting for the rescue helicopter  :'( and the truth is we couldn't drive in those road condition.

We thought the snow earlier this year was bad but to have it so early what's the next 4 months going to throw at us.

No snow here yet but this afternoon had a hail shower which has left the roads/pavements very slippy

When are you making the snowman?

A crisp November morning in South-Western Finland, the sun rose at 9:01 am. Temperature is -16°C and ground is covered with 4-5 inches of powder snow.

I'm having trouble with the temperature inside our place... We have this lovely Living room which gets lots of afternoon and evening sun (and even in this early part of summer gets up to 28c or 29c) and my lovely   wife won't let me put a breeze through because she wants it nice ant cosy for the evening..

Now I am currently recovering from a bit of illness which involves fluctuating body temperature (mainly high) and it doesn't matter what I DON'T wear 28c or 29c is bloody hot when you are just watching telly or browsing on your Laptop (but the wife says it's nice and cosy)

"Not happy Jan" he says loudly in his office (some 20 metres away in the cooler end of the house)

EDIT: We have reverse cycle (heating/cooling) in that room but can only use that to keep it warm - don't even think of cooling it down
