A friend of my Brothers has a 2005 Getz (similar to his runaround) She is having brake lockup problems.

She was told it will cost $1000 to replace the brake booster. My Brother thinks it is more likely to be the Master Cylinder. He can't even see a brake booster on his car.

He's been trying to find a price on a master cylinder online without any luck.

Does anyone have any experience with this please.

Spec of vehicle and or VIN will narrow it down. There's 3 types. Litle concerned if he can't find the booster as the master is bolted to it.

What model version does he have?

It is the pre facelift 2005 model and so is hers I think. Hasn't got the oval Peugeot style grill.

VIn just makes it accurate but it's Plain Jane, ABS  or ABS +ESC.

Yeah well he may be stuck in the fuse box then but they're pretty obvious, now whether these are set up like the i30 with it setup on the passenger side? I think they may be.

More info on symptoms too could be handy. Not being a brakespert,  seized caliper guide pins? Never experienced brake lockup before under normal application.
