The Hyundai Nexo has a fuel cell drivetrain that runs on compressed hydrogen, emits only water and heat, can drive 600km between refills, and only needs five minutes at the 'bowser'. Is this the zero-emissions car we've been dreaming of?

It is definitely not zero emissions in the overall sense. What emmisons were created to produce the hydrogen or the exotic materials in the fuel cell ?

Oh by the way - I don't know either - but it was certainly not a free lunch.

I like everything about it but the anticipated price (I read somewhere they estimate A$100K )

I thought I read 60k but the price will drop quickly over a few years, don't think I've seen any hydrogen refill points to make use of it here though.

The engine has some good torque, a bit higher than the diesel I think :undecided:

Yes, I agree Craig. Economies of scale will kick in quite quickly once it's mainstream.  :goodjob:

I think at $60K it would sell quite well.
