What was the designer thinking of when they put the connector in the arm rest box?????

Unless you hang the cord out then you can't alter etc etc.

If you forget to hide it's an open invitation to thiefs.

It would have been better in the well by the ash tray.

Wouldn't it be just as visible in the well by the ashtray?

I don't have an iPod, but am I wrong in thinking you can control it using the head unit/steering wheel controls, so you didn't need to hang it out of the arm rest box? ...or are there some functions that necessitate fiddling with the iPod?

Anyway, currently I've just got a 4gb memory stick - it holds about 1,200 mp3's - more than enough for my needs and it works beautifully.

Ahhh , point taken. But if its in the well and visable you notice it and put it away before you leave the car.

You can't control the ipod while connected and to hide it I just put it inside the arm rest box.
