Former racing driver and well credentialed motor racing TV commentator Mark Larkham, gives a bit of insight into the importance of wheel alignment settings. It's an ad for Nolathane suspension bushes but explains clearly why camber (among others) is an important function of wheel alignment.

The Nolathane bushes can adjust the modern fixed suspension. Cars used to have cam bolts that did the same thing.

We should remind @The Gonz  about the Wingless Commander who employed a bunch of feral house movers to scrape his F111 off the Amberley tarmac.  Pilot was doing the spoon drain alignment.  :whistler:
