This may be a really dumb question, but i have no idea about these things...

I recently bought a 2011 i30 with a non-bluetooth radio, have located a Bluetooth radio that is for the same year model, but i would like the bluetooth microphone function to work to make calls from my car... Do i need separate microphone OR is the spot i circled on the unit the microphone input for this model??

I agree. It looks like an electret module will be found just at that hole if dismantled.

Yeah good chance mic stands for microphone.
