If only my i30 looked as good. Its the same colour 5k miles on the clock, and as posted earlier, neither front or back bumpers are the same shade of red as the rest of the car! I should take your pictures into my garage to show them what it should look like! so jealous

Thanks for the offer sobocanec, luckily Hyundai recognise the miss-match and are offering to respray (I am told I am not the only one) still not sure this is the right way to go, the other is to sadly lose the car.

I would accept the respray of the bumpers (they are only plastic after all) Nothing to lose IMHO...

P.S. Your car looks brilliant sobocanec.. I have been a bit negative about the solid red on here due to previous issues of bad fading with a solid red Mitsubishi Lancer in the past but there is no doubt the i30 looks excellent in red (and you appear to be mor diligent with you waxing than I would be...)

Hi Dazzler, the idea of having a nearly new car resprayed really concerns me, not because of the respray itself, rather Hyundai's quality control, in respect of how did the car reach the showroom and not get stopped at anypoint before hand. It takes the shine (pardon the pun!) off of owning a new car, as I have never had any thing like this happen  (and boy have I bought some duff cars before!)

As long as they do a good job ..I would be more concerned if it were some of the metal parts...

I get your point about the quality control.. although when you look at the percentage of paint problems experience by owners on here the percentage is fairly low...

I bought a Silver Nissan SSS Pulsar Demo in 1991 .. it had a tiny parking dent in one of the back doors which I wanted fixed... The guy they got to fix it did a terrible job of the spray (a really bad match of the colour and an obvious 12 inch round circle!!! I insisted they get it fixed properly so they got it redone and this time I accepted it (looked a lot better) turned out he's resprayed the whole side of the car!!! Took the shine off the purchase even though I loved everything else about it...

I like your car i nearly bought the red but my wife wanted blue so guess what colour i bought ??? aye blue she is scary when angry
