You often find stuff on Ebay at stupid prices.

I'm no expert about how Ebay works but the friend who sent me the link commented that it was a ploy used by traders when they were out of stock to pause ordering until the stuff was re-stocked.

It was suggested that it saves them money having to relist the item again

I have no idea whether that is right or not...........

Indeedy. I've also seen listings at ridiculously low prices with "contact seller prior to paying" for the same reason.

Eg, a Philips 55PUS6401 4k TV on "buy it now" for just £29.99 delivered, to tempt you into adding to your watch list, only for the price to revert to £529.99 when back in stock.
