It wasn't my first time in Rome nor for my mother and wife, but it was the first time for our one year old daughter though

Some months before this trip we: me, wife and daughter conducted a test trip to Kaliningrad, which is only one and a half hour flight from Saint-Petersburg - we needed to know how our little baby would bear the flight and it turned out nice. She slept, for almost the whole flight.
The flight to Rome took 3.5 hour and again it passed almost flawlessly. Upon arrival at the airport in Rome we were directed to a separate line (for passengers with children), that enabled us not to waste time, standing in a long queue before passport control

With three adults, one infant, pram and bags I ordered a transfer - no rush, no worry, no need to change transports.
Monday: arrival day; we did nothing, just went to a shop
Tuesday: Ostia Antica, old seaport abandoned by its inhabitants in the past. The entrance was free with Rome pass.

Wensday: Palatin and Forum - everytime I am in Rome I go there

Thursday: the Zoo (the entrance fee seemed to me a little bit expensive, as compared with other sightseeings - )

Among different varity of animals there was also a helicopter)

Friday: Vatican
