Clock set and other things are making sense, slowly...

I took my two daughters to Costco and spent some s'pesh time with them, we dined in the 'Boat and Horses' pub/restaurant first.  So today was a tootling round town day.

On the way home I called at the gas station and topped up.   According to my maths I have achieved 40 to the gallon (I still think in old money as well).  Bearing in mind that I did do a little fast driving yesterday, I guess that'll do.  Fast driving isn't really my style and I am happy enough to sit in the inside lane being sucked along by a forty two ton'er, so once I settle into my usual driving style I expect to get better than 40 to the gallon.

Not too bad for what is quite a big car, is it?

Oh and I had to call at Hyundai Manchester to drop some stuff off relating to my old car and they were busy un loading a huge car transporter  :D

some further thoughts which have occurred, due to becoming an i30 guy....

My girls were well impressed with the blacked out rear winders on my new i30 and were constrained to observe that I might take up the local Manchester pass time of, drugs dealing, I live quite close to Cheetham Hill so there wouldn't be a huge amount of travel involved for me.  I have tons of drugs in my bedroom, heart pills, diabetic pills, blood pressure pills a really wide selection to choose from.  For those who pre-fare mainlining I have loads of syringes and needles plus a fridge full of insulin.  In short I am pretty much set up to go into business right now.

Later as I drove home, mentally comparing my new shiny shiny car with my old two door Yaris, it came to me like a flash, this car would be ideal to take up 'dogging' in, blacked out rear winders, very spacious inside, just the ticket.  Mind you, the girls would have to settle for oral sex ( I mean talking about it) as I can't offer any viable alternative.   I could organise  a geriatric dogging evening on the Costco car park, we could sit in our cars n talk about sex all evening.   It's on the 'to do' list.

Oh and by the way, I really do remember farthings...   Although I am not sure they were still legal tender.

Asa

Yeah Shambles, I did try posting a piccie...  I  refer you back to my adventures with the clock in the car.  Gimme a few more goes and I will figure it all out.  I have a rear view of my shiny shiny new thing sat right here on me desktop waiting to  wow the lads on the forum with.

Hang on I'll go n have another crack at it....

Oh right, it inserts HTML code into the text... MMmm how do I insert the image into the code, I mean, just typing the image name in won't do it will it, cos it'll still be on my desk top???  I need to mull this over, it's years since I did my HTML diploma thingy at college, forgotten most of it...

I'll play with it for a while

No probs Asa. It's a bit like your Flickr account, but just use Photobucket instead (and no pics of Harrys Birthplace please :P)...

I like your sense of humour asa... Don't take this the wrong way you UK guys but I was always prouder of my Italian heritage (mum) than my English heritage (dad) but since getting to know you guys on this site things have leveled up (you all seem like top fellas and I can relate to nearly all your humour)

Luv the look at the rear, why is is that Hyundai Aussie( I have contacted Them- said contact dealer-yeah right)  doesn't bring in or allow more mods, is it that hard or is the nanny state getting even worse and telling us what is cool and what is not.
