Sainsbury's has apologised after unleaded and diesel fuel were put in the wrong underground tanks at one of its filling stations in Oxfordshire.

Twenty customers have so far come forward complaining they had put the wrong fuel into their vehicles at the Wantage site on Wednesday.

The AA said it can cost up to £3,000 to have engines cleaned if the wrong fuel is put in.

Jees I didn't spot that yesterday

You put your faith in the supplier/retailer and don't expect things like that.

That's. Gonna. Cost. Them. Dearly.

They pretty much have to. There is no lawyer in the universe that could talk them out of that mess.

Cleaning underground tanks so well that chemical proof could not be acquired would be an operation so vast that you simply cannot hide it...

Trying to deny what happened would be the tragicomedy of century :)
