That link doesn't seem to want to work for me?

If a Hybrid only does 37-39mpg (as per the wording of the link..) Why would you not go the Diesel version which I think would do better than that????

I like the look of it!  :D But I think the Hybrid is probably more for the US market as they appear from what I am reading like the Hybrid concept better than Diesel which is offering similar economy.. (I would go the DIESEL)

The light shows a model of a quantum mechanics.

Quote
Quantum mechanics (QM) is a set of scientific principles describing the known behavior of energy and matter  that predominate at the atomic and subatomic scales.

I think it's really clever :D

I am waiting for the diesel hybrids, that should bring the best from the both worlds.

Guess they would be very heavy with the extra weight of the diesel engine at the front

and the batteries at the rear....

AFAIK the modern diesel engines are not significantly heavier than petrol engines of same cylinder volume.
The turbocharger does add some weight, and that's about it.

Hyundai seems to be using lithium-polymer batteries wityh that hybrid. That kind of batteries have quite high energy density, for a light hybrid use such battery could be put to the space reserved for the spare wheel.
