I drove my second i30 diesel test-drive yesterday and am now convinced....I have decided to buy one when I get back to Oz in June.

Has anyone heard of any "end of (Hyundai) financial year" sales that are in the pipeline? Mitsubishi have started the ball rolling already.

Being new to even noticing Hyundai vehicles, can anyone tell me what traditionally these sales may offer?

Does anyone know if the 2011 model mentioned on another thread here is due to show around then?

Thanks,
Paolo5

Sorry Paolo... they keep these things pretty close to their chest to discourage people from holding off their purchases... If they start advertising anything I'll try to remember to keep you posted...

Sales are always on... it just depends how much pressure you can apply to the sales guy !

Ask them to GUARANTEE you the price you finally pay won't be cheaper in the next month or so due to end of year sales......  in writing of course. Then work downwards from there !!

Good luck. You will find that the dealers aren't really worried if they get your business or not, especially if you are after a diesel. They will try and talk you into a petrol which in most cases you can drive home there and then.
My suggestion is if you want one in June buy it in April and it may be there when you get here. My threats to the dealers about getting a Corolla or similar fell on deaf ears with comments like "We only make $600 a sale on the i30 and are not interested in doing big discounts"
I ended up with 2 Hyundai dealers not budging a $, so went with the dealer who threw in the most accessories.
The sales man told me he was selling so many cars it was a joke. The ix35 was walking out the door with sales 5 times better than they could have dreamed about.
Makes it tough to get good deals when its like this :)
