Don't worry m8, they are extreamly easy to change, and i much prefer the type oil filter the CRDi use to a cartrage type. but thats just how i feel personaly, my main reason is i like to inspect the oil filter eliment, just to checxk no metal that sould not be there is showing. so with this type that job is easy.
the fuel filter is easy to change if you know what to do & have the tools to suit. but i'm not telling people to do it themself.
with diesel fuel filters you can be lucky, then again you can be unlucky. but if you are fussy what fuel you put in the tank and you only use or buy from reputable outlets with a good name, not the cheapest. you should be fine.
a friend had to change his Benz diesel filter a few times as was getting water light come on. if water goes in we don't go far!
Tasmania is a small island refuge with friendly natives, rugged wild country in parts, and extream beauty that refects life b4 the ice age. so the walk is no more than say 200K maybe 300k if no friends at all. but Dazz has friends world wide he's safe
