Wife adjusted volume while I adjusted on steering wheel. Now steering wheel no loner works. JVC KW=V41. Tried resetting. (JVC - not wife) . no help. On setup screen Steering wheel remote shows  grey

Welcome,  sounds like something has got confused. I reckon if you disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for a minimum of 30 minutes the reset may fix it. Please let us know either way if that works..
